Trouble before the wedding

In the book "Revenge Wears Prada" from pages 1-62 , Andy Sachs's life has been going great ever since she quit her old job with the devil, Miranda Priesly. Andy was running a magazine of her own, and she was getting married. The night before her wedding, she started to have weird dreams about Miranda. The day of her wedding came, she got ready. But, an hour before her wedding started, she found on her fiancé's pocket a letter from her soon-to-be mother in law , desperately trying to convince Max not to marry Andy.  Andy was completely desperate, her mind was filled with doubt and questions. Finally, she decided to say yes in the altar, no matter what her questions were.

Quote analysis

"How desperately she wanted to lean in and whisper,' Daddy, I don't want to do this just yet.'" (Weisberger, 48)
In this quote, we can see that just before Andy is walking down the aisle, she's having second thoughts, because of the letter Max's mom wrote. She's feeling bad, and doesn't want to continue.

" I beseech you, Maxwell. Please do not marry Andrea. Do not misunderstand me. Andrea is pleasant...But you my darling deserve much more!" (Weisberger,12)
I wonder why Barbara doesn't want Max to marry Andy so badly. Might it be because Miranda Priesly has spoken badly about Andrea ?

In conclusion, Andy did marry Max after all. But, she did stayed with some doubt about what the letter said. Her mind just goes back to the memory of the letter. I wonder what will happen next. Maybe Barbara will make Andy's life a living hell? Or she will cross paths with her ex boss Miranda?

Aslan and the stone table

In chapters 12-13 Edmond has been walking all day long. He is very tired, and needs to rest. While they were walking the Dwarf and Witch were deciding what to do with him. When Edmond was about to be killed he fainted, and was saved by a search party Aslan sent. Before Edmond fainted, Lucy, Peter , Susan and the beavers finally arrived to the stone table and met Aslan. They were all shocked yet, exited to see him. Edmond was finally saved and he had a long talk with Aslan, he was finally at the good side. The Witch came to claim power over Edmond, because she is in charge of traitors. So, Aslan and the Witch had a long talk and walk deciding on who will stay with Edmund. An agreement was made, and Edmond will stay with Aslan. Everyone was very happy about this, but the Witch had a evil smile on her face.

Quote analisys

"Have you forgotten the Deep Magic?" asked the Witch.
"Let us say I have forgotten it," answered Aslan gravely. "Tell us of this Deep Magic."
"Tell you?" said the Witch, her voice growing suddenly shriller. "Tell you what is written on that very Table of Stone which stands beside us? Tell you what is written in letters deep as a spear is long on the fire-stones on the Secret Hill? Tell you what is engraved on the scepter of the Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea? You at least know the Magic which the Emperor put into Narnia at the very beginning. You know that every traitor belongs to me as my lawful prey and that for every treachery I have a right to kill.... And so that human creature is mine. His life is forfeit to me. His blood is my property... unless I have blood as the Law says all Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water."
"It is very true," said Aslan, "I do not deny it." (C.S Lewis,141-142)
In here, the Witch is bargaining Edmund´s life. She wants to be sure to not leave with her hands empty. The Witch wants to cause some pain.
"The Witch was turning away with a look of fierce joy on her face ..." (C.S Lewis, 144)
This quote shows that the queen is up to something. I wonder what is her plan, what is she going to do next?
conclusion
In conclusion, Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan finally met Aslan. But, the Witch wants to cause more trouble. I wonder what she is planning.

Spring makes the Witch go angry

In chapters 10-11 Lucy, Peter and Susan are packing food and blankets, so they can escape and go to a safe place. The beaver leads them to a special kind of cave were they were going to stay the night. The next day, everyone woke up to the sound of some bells so they got scared and thought it was the Witche´s sled. Everyone went outside the cave to confirm if it was the witch. But, it was actually Father Christmas. He had came to give them some presents. Father Christmas, gave a different present for everyone. Then he left them. While Lucy , Peter , Susan and the beavers were enjoying their presents, Edmond was very sore and tired because he slept in the cold sled. While Edmond was on the sled, he realized the sled was going everytime slower and slower, this was due to the melting snow. The dwarf noticed that spring has come, and this didn´t please the Witch. Then they had to walk because they had no sled anymore.

Quote analisys

"Then we must walk," (C.S Lewis, 119)
Now , that the snow has melted, they can´t use the sled anymore. I feel sorry for Edmond because he is going to have to walk so much. Plus, he is going to walk for miles with a unpleasant company. The dwarf and the Witch are very mean.

"This is Spring. What are we to do? Your winter has been destryed, I tell you! This is Aslan´s doing." (C.S Lewis, 122)

The dwarf noticed that the snow is gone, and that spring has finally arrived. This is unpleasant news for him and the Witch. But the Witch doesen´t want to admit that Aslan is coming.

conclusion

In conclusion, spring has finally arrived after all those years of winter. The Witch is in denial, and doesen´t want to accept the fact that her spell has been broken or that Alsan has returned.

Edmond is causing trouble

In chapters 8-9 the beaver invites everyone to his house. In his house they discuss the Mr. Tumnus problem. Lucy really wants to do something to help Mr. Tomnus. Also, the beaver explains to all who is Aslan. He says that Aslan is the actual and rightful leader of Narnia. And now that the "sons and daughters of Adam" have come, Aslan will return and save everyone. While the beaver was talking about Aslan and the witch, Edmond couln´t stop thinking of the promise he made to the Witch. When no one noticed, Edmond slipped out and was headed to the Witche´s castle. When all stopped talking, they realized Edmond was gone, so they briefly looked for him. All of them realized that he went into the Witche´s castle. The knew Edmond would tell the Witch were they all were staying, so they packed some food and went to a kind of cave to hide. Meanwhile, Edmond was inside the castle and the witch was very disapointed when he came alone. Next, the Witch prepared her sled to go search for Edmond´s brother and sisters.

Quote analisys

Aslan?" said Mr. Beaver. "Why, don't you know? He's the King. He's the Lord of the whole wood, but not often here, you understand. Never in my time or my father's time. But the word has reached us that he has come back. He is in Narnia at this moment. He'll settle the White Queen all right. It is he, not you, that will save Mr. Tumnus.´
´Is—is he a man?´ asked Lucy.
´Aslan a man!´Mr. Beaver said sternly. ´Certainly not. I tell you he is the King of the wood and the son of the great Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea. Don't you know who is the King of Beasts? Aslan is a lion—the Lion, the great Lion.´
´Ooh!´ said Susan, ´I'd thought he was a man. Is he—quite sfe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion.´
´That you will, dearie, and no mistake," said Mrs. Beaver; "if there's anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they're either braver than most or else just silly.´ (C.S Lewis, 78-80)
In this quote all of them finally have an idea of what Alsan is. In here the beaver describes Aslan as a kind of very powerful ruler and god. When Susan heard he was a lion, she got very shocked, and she didn´t want to meet a lion.
"How dare you come alone?" (C.S Lewis, 99)
In this quote, the witch is very disturbed and disapointed because Edmond didn´t brought her brother and sisters. The witch obviously has bad intentions and wants to harm all of them.
conclusion
In conclusion, the beaver explained more about Alsan. And Edmond went to the witche´s caslte, this caused lots of trouble because the Witch has bad intentions. I predict, that the beavers, Lucy , Susan and Peter will get away successfuly.

Is Lucy telling lies?

In chapters 5-7 Edmond finally discovered Narnia. But, he said that Lucy was lying. From that moment, Lucy was completly miserable. She cried very often as well. This behavior concerned Peter and Susan. So, Peter and Susan went to talk with the Proffesor. The Proffesor was actually on Lucy´s side, this shocked Peter and Susan because, they couldn´t believe that such old man thought Lucy was right. One day, some visitors came to the house to look around . Mrs. Macready, told the children not to bother her while she was showing the visitors the house. All of them were exploring the house again. But, while they were exploring they heard the visitors and they decided to hide inside the magic wardrobe until the visitors got away. Inside the wardrobe, they finally steped inside of Narnia. When they got inside Narnia, they all were shocked. Finally, Susan, Peter, and Edmond offered an apology to Lucy. They all decided to go to the Faun´s house to visit him. When they arrived to the Faun´s house, they saw it was ransacked. The white witch captured Mr. Tomnus for helping Lucy. When they all steped out a red chest Robin made them follow him. Then, they met a beaver and he invited everyone to his little house to eat dinner.
Quote analisys
"And now a very curious thing happened. None of the children knew who Aslan was any more than you do; but the moment the Beaver had spoken [his name] everyone felt quite different.... At the name of Aslan each one of the children felt something jump in its inside. Edmund felt a sensation of mysterious horror. Peter felt suddenly brave and adventurous.
Susan felt as if some delicious smell or some delightful strain of music had just floated by her. And Lucy got the feeling you have when you wake up in the morning and realize that it is the beginning of the holidays or the beginning of summer." (C.S Lewis, 67-68)

This quote shows the mystical power of Aslan. This quote shows that Aslan is a kind of god. For Lucy, Susan and Peter the reaction at his name is quite good and pleasant whereas Edmond has a unpleasant reaction because he is more on the Witche´s side.

"...´Its my handkerchief, the one i gave to poor Mr. Tumnus´´Thats right,´ said the Beaver. ´Poor fellow..." (C.S Lewis, 67)

I wonder what has the Witch done with Mr. Tumnus. I hope nothing bad has happended to him, and that he´s alright.

Conclusion
In colcusion, Peter and Susan finally believed Lucy, because they actually got to visit Narnia. All of them met the beaver and heard for the very first time Aslan´s name. I wonder if Edmond is going to bring his brother and sisters to the witch.

Lucy, Edmond, Susan and Peter

In chapters 1-4 of  the book of Narnia the lion, the witch and the wardrobe the author introduces all of the characters. There is Lucy the youngest one, Edmond , Susan and Peter. They have to go to a house were they can get away from war to be safe. When they arrived, all of them were happy to be in the house because it was really big and they could do pretty much anything they wanted. The next day, it was raining and they couldn´t do anything outside. So, that day they decided to explore the house and look at some rooms. There was one room Peter  looked but it had simply just one wardrobe. Lucy, stayed and got inside the wardrobe to see what was inside. When she got deeper inside, she discovered a hidden world inside the wardrobe. There she met a lovely faun, Mr. Tomnus. When nightfall arrived, Mr. Tomnus confessed that he worked for the white witch, and that she demanded all of the sons of Adam that came to Narnia. Mr. Tomnus grew really fond of Lucy, so instead of kidnapping her, he helped her escape and get safely to the wardrobe. When she got to the house, she tried to explain everything, but no one believed her. Peter and Susan were really concerened about Lucy´s actitude. The other days had a pleasant weather, but Lucy didn´t enjoy those days properly. Other rainy day came, and they decided to play hide and seek. Lucy wanted to visit Narnia one more time to see how was the Faun. While Susan was counting, she got inside and got into Narnia. Edmond wanted to get inside too, so he entered right before Lucy did. When Edmond got inside he met the White Witch and she told her to bring her his other brothers and sisters. Sadly, Edmond told the witch about the Faun and how he helped Lucy. Finally Lucy and Edmond met on the woods of Narnia and returned to the house.

Quote analisys

"´Nothing there!´said Peter, and they all trooped out again--all except Lucy. She stayed behind because she thought it would be worth while trying the door of the wardrobe ..." (C.S Lewis, 6)
Eventhough Lucy is the youngest one, she is very curious. She likes to explore and discover things more than anyone. That´s why she is the first one to discover the mistery behind the wardrobe.

"´The White Witch´ said Edmund; ´who's she?´
´She is a perfectly terrible person," said Lucy. "She calls herself the Queen of Narnia thought she has no right to be queen at all, and all the Fauns and Dryands and Naiads and Dwarfs and Animals—at least all the good ones—simply hate her. And she can turn people into stone and do all kinds of horrible things. And she has made a magic so that it is always winter in Narnia—always winter, but it never gets to Christmas. And she drives about on a sledge, drawn by reindeer, with her wand in her hand and a crown on her head.´
Edmund was already feeling uncomfortable from having eaten too many sweets, and when he heard that the Lady he had made friends with was a dangerous witch he felt even more uncomfortable. But he still wanted to taste that Turkish Delight more than he wanted anything else." (C.S Lewis, 42)

This quote shows that Edmond is confused of what side he is in. Maybe after eating those enchanted sweets, he might want to go on to the Witche´s side.

Conclusions

In conclusion, Lucy, Peter , Edmond and Susan have arrived to this house full of mysteries, in which , Lucy is the first one to discover a wonderfull thing. Though, no one believed her. Finally, Edmond does discover what´s inside the wardrobe as well. I think that Edmond is confused of which side he is in.
