In chapters 8-9 the beaver invites everyone to his house. In his house they discuss the Mr. Tumnus problem. Lucy really wants to do something to help Mr. Tomnus. Also, the beaver explains to all who is Aslan. He says that Aslan is the actual and rightful leader of Narnia. And now that the "sons and daughters of Adam" have come, Aslan will return and save everyone. While the beaver was talking about Aslan and the witch, Edmond couln´t stop thinking of the promise he made to the Witch. When no one noticed, Edmond slipped out and was headed to the Witche´s castle. When all stopped talking, they realized Edmond was gone, so they briefly looked for him. All of them realized that he went into the Witche´s castle. The knew Edmond would tell the Witch were they all were staying, so they packed some food and went to a kind of cave to hide. Meanwhile, Edmond was inside the castle and the witch was very disapointed when he came alone. Next, the Witch prepared her sled to go search for Edmond´s brother and sisters.
Quote analisys
"´Aslan?" said Mr. Beaver. "Why, don't you know? He's the King. He's the Lord of the whole wood, but not often here, you understand. Never in my time or my father's time. But the word has reached us that he has come back. He is in Narnia at this moment. He'll settle the White Queen all right. It is he, not you, that will save Mr. Tumnus.´
´Is—is he a man?´ asked Lucy.
´Aslan a man!´Mr. Beaver said sternly. ´Certainly not. I tell you he is the King of the wood and the son of the great Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea. Don't you know who is the King of Beasts? Aslan is a lion—the Lion, the great Lion.´
´Ooh!´ said Susan, ´I'd thought he was a man. Is he—quite sfe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion.´
´That you will, dearie, and no mistake," said Mrs. Beaver; "if there's anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they're either braver than most or else just silly.´ (C.S Lewis, 78-80)
In this quote all of them finally have an idea of what Alsan is. In here the beaver describes Aslan as a kind of very powerful ruler and god. When Susan heard he was a lion, she got very shocked, and she didn´t want to meet a lion.
"How dare you come alone?" (C.S Lewis, 99)
In this quote, the witch is very disturbed and disapointed because Edmond didn´t brought her brother and sisters. The witch obviously has bad intentions and wants to harm all of them.
conclusion
In conclusion, the beaver explained more about Alsan. And Edmond went to the witche´s caslte, this caused lots of trouble because the Witch has bad intentions. I predict, that the beavers, Lucy , Susan and Peter will get away successfuly.
