A baby??
In pages 124-134 Andy is still very confused of what to do or say about her being pregnant. She has not told anyone about her situation. In this pages there are flashbacks of Emily proposing to Andy ideas to star their own magazine. At first Andy wasn´t very convinced because she had lots of questions. Where will she get all the money? What place are they going to put their office? But, Emily claimed to have all of that covered because of her rich and influencial husband.
"...I want you to write full-lenght cover stories, with brilliant photographers who will execute your vision, assign your ideas to other writers and edit them. mentor them, oversee them..." (Weisberger,132)
In this quote, there is a flashback of when Emily was trying to persuade Andy to start a wedding magazine with her. Emily expresses herself in a delightful way. With this words she would totally convince Andy to start the magazine with her.
"Ours is going to be ubertylish. Upscale. The luxe version of weddings..." (Weisberger,133)
In here we can see Emily wants to have a very luxurious and exclusive magazine. She doesn´t want anything simple at all. Emily wants something very big, she wants to become famous with Andy.
In conclusion, Ansy is very confused and desperate. She has no idea of what she´s going to do about the baby. In this pages, there are flashbacks of when Emily and Andy were having the first ideas of their now, very successful magazine. I wonder what will Andy do, will she tell Max? Or maybe her belly will be too big for her to keep such secret ?

Doubt and more doubt
In pages 63-123 , Andy has been feeling sick, tired and confused. In the letter Barbara (Max´s mother), wrote she mentioned that Max was surprisingly pleased of seeing again Katherine in his bachelor party, his ex girlfirend (a girlfriend that peculiarly, Barbara aproved). Andy was so upset about what the letter said. Max, started noticing Andy´s unusual behavior, and told Andy both needed to talk. Andy was worried that Max cheated on her in his bachelor party. One day, Andy couldn't resist, and asked Max if it was true that maybe he cheated on her. Max swore to her that nothing happened. But still, Andy felt that something did happended. Meanwhile, Andy and Emily were talking. Andy was asking for help, and Emily gave her some advice. In the story there were some flashbacks of how Andy got reunited with Emily. Andy's unrest kept going so she decided to go to the doctor. After a few hours the results were revealed. Andy was pregnant.
"What, you mean how you weasled your way onto the Paris trip despite it being my lifelong dream - and despite my working way longer and harder than you ever did - then you have the nerve to up and quit in the middle of it ? Never taking a second to consider what a very bad mood that might put Miranda in, or how long it would take for me to hire and train someone new - nearly three weeks, by the way, which meant I was at her beck and call twenty-four-seven, totally solo? You never so much as e-mailed to say goodbye or thanks for the help or go to hell or anything. So that´s how we left it."
(Weisberger, 99)
In this part of the book, its a falshback of how Andy and Emily got reunited and catched up with eachother´s life. Emily was very resentful with Andy. I feel bad for Emily, she had to work so hard after Andy left her. She was filled with work, and Miranda was in a very bad mood all the time.
"Andrea. Congratulations! You´re pregnant." (Weisberger, 123)
Eventhough, this should be great news, Andy´s heart sank. She didn´t knew if she could trust Max anymore, and now she was carrying a baby from him. I wonder how stressful Andy´s situation must be.
In conclusion, Andy was still felling very upset about Max seeing Kathering in his bachelor party. Her world is spinning around, and crazy more stressful events are coming up. I hope Andy will solve her problems soon, or else it will be a complete chaos.

Trouble before the wedding
In the book "Revenge Wears Prada" from pages 1-62 , Andy Sachs's life has been going great ever since she quit her old job with the devil, Miranda Priesly. Andy was running a magazine of her own, and she was getting married. The night before her wedding, she started to have weird dreams about Miranda. The day of her wedding came, she got ready. But, an hour before her wedding started, she found on her fiancé's pocket a letter from her soon-to-be mother in law , desperately trying to convince Max not to marry Andy. Andy was completely desperate, her mind was filled with doubt and questions. Finally, she decided to say yes in the altar, no matter what her questions were.
Quote analysis
"How desperately she wanted to lean in and whisper,' Daddy, I don't want to do this just yet.'" (Weisberger, 48)
In this quote, we can see that just before Andy is walking down the aisle, she's having second thoughts, because of the letter Max's mom wrote. She's feeling bad, and doesn't want to continue.
" I beseech you, Maxwell. Please do not marry Andrea. Do not misunderstand me. Andrea is pleasant...But you my darling deserve much more!" (Weisberger,12)
I wonder why Barbara doesn't want Max to marry Andy so badly. Might it be because Miranda Priesly has spoken badly about Andrea ?
In conclusion, Andy did marry Max after all. But, she did stayed with some doubt about what the letter said. Her mind just goes back to the memory of the letter. I wonder what will happen next. Maybe Barbara will make Andy's life a living hell? Or she will cross paths with her ex boss Miranda?

Aslan and the stone table
In chapters 12-13 Edmond has been walking all day long. He is very tired, and needs to rest. While they were walking the Dwarf and Witch were deciding what to do with him. When Edmond was about to be killed he fainted, and was saved by a search party Aslan sent. Before Edmond fainted, Lucy, Peter , Susan and the beavers finally arrived to the stone table and met Aslan. They were all shocked yet, exited to see him. Edmond was finally saved and he had a long talk with Aslan, he was finally at the good side. The Witch came to claim power over Edmond, because she is in charge of traitors. So, Aslan and the Witch had a long talk and walk deciding on who will stay with Edmund. An agreement was made, and Edmond will stay with Aslan. Everyone was very happy about this, but the Witch had a evil smile on her face.
Quote analisys
"Have you forgotten the Deep Magic?" asked the Witch.
"Let us say I have forgotten it," answered Aslan gravely. "Tell us of this Deep Magic."
"Tell you?" said the Witch, her voice growing suddenly shriller. "Tell you what is written on that very Table of Stone which stands beside us? Tell you what is written in letters deep as a spear is long on the fire-stones on the Secret Hill? Tell you what is engraved on the scepter of the Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea? You at least know the Magic which the Emperor put into Narnia at the very beginning. You know that every traitor belongs to me as my lawful prey and that for every treachery I have a right to kill.... And so that human creature is mine. His life is forfeit to me. His blood is my property... unless I have blood as the Law says all Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water."
"It is very true," said Aslan, "I do not deny it." (C.S Lewis,141-142)
In here, the Witch is bargaining Edmund´s life. She wants to be sure to not leave with her hands empty. The Witch wants to cause some pain.
"The Witch was turning away with a look of fierce joy on her face ..." (C.S Lewis, 144)
This quote shows that the queen is up to something. I wonder what is her plan, what is she going to do next?
conclusion
In conclusion, Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan finally met Aslan. But, the Witch wants to cause more trouble. I wonder what she is planning.
Spring makes the Witch go angry
In chapters 10-11 Lucy, Peter and Susan are packing food and blankets, so they can escape and go to a safe place. The beaver leads them to a special kind of cave were they were going to stay the night. The next day, everyone woke up to the sound of some bells so they got scared and thought it was the Witche´s sled. Everyone went outside the cave to confirm if it was the witch. But, it was actually Father Christmas. He had came to give them some presents. Father Christmas, gave a different present for everyone. Then he left them. While Lucy , Peter , Susan and the beavers were enjoying their presents, Edmond was very sore and tired because he slept in the cold sled. While Edmond was on the sled, he realized the sled was going everytime slower and slower, this was due to the melting snow. The dwarf noticed that spring has come, and this didn´t please the Witch. Then they had to walk because they had no sled anymore.

Quote analisys
"Then we must walk," (C.S Lewis, 119)
Now , that the snow has melted, they can´t use the sled anymore. I feel sorry for Edmond because he is going to have to walk so much. Plus, he is going to walk for miles with a unpleasant company. The dwarf and the Witch are very mean.
"This is Spring. What are we to do? Your winter has been destryed, I tell you! This is Aslan´s doing." (C.S Lewis, 122)
The dwarf noticed that the snow is gone, and that spring has finally arrived. This is unpleasant news for him and the Witch. But the Witch doesen´t want to admit that Aslan is coming.
conclusion
In conclusion, spring has finally arrived after all those years of winter. The Witch is in denial, and doesen´t want to accept the fact that her spell has been broken or that Alsan has returned.

Edmond is causing trouble
In chapters 8-9 the beaver invites everyone to his house. In his house they discuss the Mr. Tumnus problem. Lucy really wants to do something to help Mr. Tomnus. Also, the beaver explains to all who is Aslan. He says that Aslan is the actual and rightful leader of Narnia. And now that the "sons and daughters of Adam" have come, Aslan will return and save everyone. While the beaver was talking about Aslan and the witch, Edmond couln´t stop thinking of the promise he made to the Witch. When no one noticed, Edmond slipped out and was headed to the Witche´s castle. When all stopped talking, they realized Edmond was gone, so they briefly looked for him. All of them realized that he went into the Witche´s castle. The knew Edmond would tell the Witch were they all were staying, so they packed some food and went to a kind of cave to hide. Meanwhile, Edmond was inside the castle and the witch was very disapointed when he came alone. Next, the Witch prepared her sled to go search for Edmond´s brother and sisters.
Quote analisys
"´Aslan?" said Mr. Beaver. "Why, don't you know? He's the King. He's the Lord of the whole wood, but not often here, you understand. Never in my time or my father's time. But the word has reached us that he has come back. He is in Narnia at this moment. He'll settle the White Queen all right. It is he, not you, that will save Mr. Tumnus.´

But the word has reached us that he has come back. He is in Narnia at this moment. He'll settle the White Queen all right. It is he, not you, that will save Mr. Tumnus.´
´Is—is he a man?´ asked Lucy.
´Aslan a man!´Mr. Beaver said sternly. ´Certainly not. I tell you he is the King of the wood and the son of the great Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea. Don't you know who is the King of Beasts? Aslan is a lion—the Lion, the great Lion.´
´Ooh!´ said Susan, ´I'd thought he was a man. Is he—quite sfe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion.´
´That you will, dearie, and no mistake," said Mrs. Beaver; "if there's anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they're either braver than most or else just silly.´ (C.S Lewis, 78-80)
In this quote all of them finally have an idea of what Alsan is. In here the beaver describes Aslan as a kind of very powerful ruler and god. When Susan heard he was a lion, she got very shocked, and she didn´t want to meet a lion.
"How dare you come alone?" (C.S Lewis, 99)
In this quote, the witch is very disturbed and disapointed because Edmond didn´t brought her brother and sisters. The witch obviously has bad intentions and wants to harm all of them.
conclusion
In conclusion, the beaver explained more about Alsan. And Edmond went to the witche´s caslte, this caused lots of trouble because the Witch has bad intentions. I predict, that the beavers, Lucy , Susan and Peter will get away successfuly.
Is Lucy telling lies?
In chapters 5-7 Edmond finally discovered Narnia. But, he said that Lucy was lying. From that moment, Lucy was completly miserable. She cried very often as well. This behavior concerned Peter and Susan. So, Peter and Susan went to talk with the Proffesor. The Proffesor was actually on Lucy´s side, this shocked Peter and Susan because, they couldn´t believe that such old man thought Lucy was right. One day, some visitors came to the house to look around . Mrs. Macready, told the children not to bother her while she was showing the visitors the house. All of them were exploring the house again. But, while they were exploring they heard the visitors and they decided to hide inside the magic wardrobe until the visitors got away. Inside the wardrobe, they finally steped inside of Narnia. When they got inside Narnia, they all were shocked. Finally, Susan, Peter, and Edmond offered an apology to Lucy. They all decided to go to the Faun´s house to visit him. When they arrived to the Faun´s house, they saw it was ransacked. The white witch captured Mr. Tomnus for helping Lucy. When they all steped out a red chest Robin made them follow him. Then, they met a beaver and he invited everyone to his little house to eat dinner.
Quote analisys
"And now a very curious thing happened. None of the children knew who Aslan was any more than you do; but the moment the Beaver had spoken [his name] everyone felt quite different.... At the name of Aslan each one of the children felt something jump in its inside. Edmund felt a sensation of mysterious horror. Peter felt suddenly brave and adventurous. Susan felt as if some delicious smell or some delightful strain of music had just floated by her. And Lucy got the feeling you have when you wake up in the morning and realize that it is the beginning of the holidays or the beginning of summer." (C.S Lewis, 67-68)
This quote shows the mystical power of Aslan. This quote shows that Aslan is a kind of god. For Lucy, Susan and Peter the reaction at his name is quite good and pleasant whereas Edmond has a unpleasant reaction because he is more on the Witche´s side.
"...´Its my handkerchief, the one i gave to poor Mr. Tumnus´´Thats right,´ said the Beaver. ´Poor fellow..." (C.S Lewis, 67)
I wonder what has the Witch done with Mr. Tumnus. I hope nothing bad has happended to him, and that he´s alright.
Conclusion
In colcusion, Peter and Susan finally believed Lucy, because they actually got to visit Narnia. All of them met the beaver and heard for the very first time Aslan´s name. I wonder if Edmond is going to bring his brother and sisters to the witch.
Lucy, Edmond, Susan and Peter
In chapters 1-4 of the book of Narnia the lion, the witch and the wardrobe the author introduces all of the characters. There is Lucy the youngest one, Edmond , Susan and Peter. They have to go to a house were they can get away from war to be safe. When they arrived, all of them were happy to be in the house because it was really big and they could do pretty much anything they wanted. The next day, it was raining and they couldn´t do anything outside. So, that day they decided to explore the house and look at some rooms. There was one room Peter looked but it had simply just one wardrobe. Lucy, stayed and got inside the wardrobe to see what was inside. When she got deeper inside, she discovered a hidden world inside the wardrobe. There she met a lovely faun, Mr. Tomnus. When nightfall arrived, Mr. Tomnus confessed that he worked for the white witch, and that she demanded all of the sons of Adam that came to Narnia. Mr. Tomnus grew really fond of Lucy, so instead of kidnapping her, he helped her escape and get safely to the wardrobe. When she got to the house, she tried to explain everything, but no one believed her. Peter and Susan were really concerened about Lucy´s actitude. The other days had a pleasant weather, but Lucy didn´t enjoy those days properly. Other rainy day came, and they decided to play hide and seek. Lucy wanted to visit Narnia one more time to see how was the Faun. While Susan was counting, she got inside and got into Narnia. Edmond wanted to get inside too, so he entered right before Lucy did. When Edmond got inside he met the White Witch and she told her to bring her his other brothers and sisters. Sadly, Edmond told the witch about the Faun and how he helped Lucy. Finally Lucy and Edmond met on the woods of Narnia and returned to the house.

Quote analisys
"´Nothing there!´said Peter, and they all trooped out again--all except Lucy. She stayed behind because she thought it would be worth while trying the door of the wardrobe ..." (C.S Lewis, 6)
Eventhough Lucy is the youngest one, she is very curious. She likes to explore and discover things more than anyone. That´s why she is the first one to discover the mistery behind the wardrobe.
"´The White Witch´ said Edmund; ´who's she?´
´She is a perfectly terrible person," said Lucy. "She calls herself the Queen of Narnia thought she has no right to be queen at all, and all the Fauns and Dryands and Naiads and Dwarfs and Animals—at least all the good ones—simply hate her. And she can turn people into stone and do all kinds of horrible things. And she has made a magic so that it is always winter in Narnia—always winter, but it never gets to Christmas. And she drives about on a sledge, drawn by reindeer, with her wand in her hand and a crown on her head.´
Edmund was already feeling uncomfortable from having eaten too many sweets, and when he heard that the Lady he had made friends with was a dangerous witch he felt even more uncomfortable. But he still wanted to taste that Turkish Delight more than he wanted anything else." (C.S Lewis, 42)
This quote shows that Edmond is confused of what side he is in. Maybe after eating those enchanted sweets, he might want to go on to the Witche´s side.
Conclusions
In conclusion, Lucy, Peter , Edmond and Susan have arrived to this house full of mysteries, in which , Lucy is the first one to discover a wonderfull thing. Though, no one believed her. Finally, Edmond does discover what´s inside the wardrobe as well. I think that Edmond is confused of which side he is in.

Be careful with what you wish for
The Monkey's Paw is a pleasant short story written by W.W Jacobs. This short story is about a family that invites a friend over. This friend called Major Major talks about how wonderfull India and Egypt are. He shows every one a monkey paw. Major Major explains that this paw was magical and very special. He said that the paw could grant you 3 wishes. But, when you wished there would be high prices that you must pay. Mr. White examined the paw and he wished for 200 pounds. After he wished that, he said that the paw twisted his wrist and he dropped the paw. Nothing really happended that night, so everyone lost some hopes about the paw. The next day a man came to Mr. White's house to tell them about a disturbing news. Mr and Mrs White son died while working in the machinery. The man that came gave them 200 pounds as a compensation. Full of sadness Mrs White screams and faints. After some days, Mrs White wakes up with a idea. She wanted to use the two remaining wishes that the paw had to bring her son back to life. At first Mr white didnt want to do this but her wife insisted desperately so he agreed and wished for his son again. After a minute or two both heard hard knocks on the door. Mrs White was thrillled and happy to see his son again. While Mrs White whent to open the door Mr White wished that his son disapeared before Mrs White could open the door. When Mrs White opened the door she saw nothing but an empty road.

"Without, the night was cold and wet, but in the small parlour of Laburnum villa the blinds were drawn and the fire burned brightly. Father and son were at chess; the former, who possessed ideas about the game involving radical chances, putting his king into such sharp and unnecessary perils that it even provoked comment from the white-haired old lady knitting placidly by the fire."

In here the author describes a placid and cozy night . He describres very good how every one is enjoying it. And the author describes how beautiful the night is.
"He sat alone in the darkness, gazing at the dying fire, and seeing faces in it. The last was so horrible and so simian that he gazed at it in amazement. It got so vivid that, with a little uneasy laugh, he felt on the table for a glass containing a little water to throw over it. His hand grasped the monkey's paw, and with a little shiver he wiped his hand on his coat and went up to bed."
In this fragment the author describres how uneasy and bad Mr White feels. But then he realizes that he is thinking of nonsense so he laughs and goes to sleep.
“Thats the worst part of living so far out,” balled Mr.white with sudden and
unlooked-for violence; “Of all the beastly, slushy, out of the way
places to live in, this is the worst.

and he doesn't like to live so far away because he likes to socialize a lot.

“And what is there special about it?” inquired Mr. White as he took it from
his so, and having examined it, place it upon the table.
his so, and having examined it, place it upon the table.
This shows us that Mr White is a very inquisitive and curioues man.
“I wish for two hundred pounds,” said the dol man distinctly.
This quote shows us that Mr White is a it greedy and he wants this big amount of money to pa things he can't.
“Come back,” he said tenderly. “ You will be cold,”
This reveals that Mr White is very caring and loves his wife. Mr White affects positively on his wife because he takes care of her.
I really enjoyed reading this short story. It is a bit scary though but it was very intersting. The theme of the story is not so clear but i think it is to teach that some times humans think they need external or magical forces to achieve what we wish.
The vultures eye
The Tale tell heart, is a short story written by Edgar Alan Poe. This short story is about a man that goes crazy just because the eye of an old man disturbed him. Every night the protagoist would go to the old man's house to kill him or take his eye so it wouldn't bother the protagonist ever again. One night the old man got awake and the protagonist killed him by putting the bed covers in his face very tightly so he wouldnt breathe. Finnaly he killed the old man and felt satisfied for some moments. Then the protagonist hid the body so no one could find it. After that the police came becuase people were concerned about the screams of the old man. The protagonist lied and said that he came in to see what happended. The policeman believed him and started asking some questions. While the policeman talked to the protagonist, he described to the reader that he started hearing some noises, like the beating heart of the old man. He said that the more he talked with the policemen , the louder the beating sounded. When the protagonist said that the sound was unsufferable, he conffesed everything.

The author has a good use of imagery. He paints a perfect picture of what he is describing in your mind.
"Its true!Yes, I have been ill, very ill. But why do you say that i have lost control of my mind, why do you say that I am mad? Can you not see that i have full control of my mind?Is it not clear that i am not mad? Indeed, the illness only made my mind, my feelings, my senses stronger , more powerful. I could hear sounds i have never heard before. I hear sounds from heaven; and i heard sounds from hell!Listen! Listen, and I will tell you how it happened. You will see, you will hear how healthy my mind is."
He uses imagery to describe how crazy the protagonist was becoming. The protagonist in here tries to convince you to think that he is not crazy but, he is .
"He had never hurt me. I did not want his money. I think it was his eye. His eye was like the eye of a vulture, the eye of one of those terrible birds that watch and wait while an animal dies, and then fall upon the dead body and pull it to pieces to eat it. When the old man looked at me with his vulture eye a cold feeling went up and down my back; even my blood became cold. And so, I finally decided I had to kill the old man and close that eye forever!"
Also he describes very good the eye of the old man and how much the protagonist hated it .He describes it as a vultures eye.
"My head hurt and there was a strange sound in my ears. I talked more, and faster. The sound became clearer. And still they sat and talked.Suddenly I knew that the sound was not in my ears, it was not just inside my head. At that moment I must have become quite white. I talked still faster and louder. And the sound, too, became louder. It was a quick, low, soft sound, like the sound of a clock heard through a wall, a sound I knew well. Louder it became, and louder. Why did the men not go? Louder, louder. I stood up and walked quickly around the room. I pushed my chair across the floor to make more noise, to cover that terrible sound. I talked even louder. And still the men sat and talked, and smiled. Was it possible that they could not hear?? "

The author describes the thumping sounds acurately. The protagonists says that the sounds grew louder and louder.
"When the old man looked at me with his vulture eye a cold feeling went up and down my back. Because, I finally decided I had to kill another man!"
This shows that the protagonist has a serious mental problem and he is very mad. The protagonist has something against the eye of the poor old man's eye.
“Yes! Yes, I killed him.”
This shows that the protagonist is capable of doing anything to get what he wants. But when he finnaly gets what he wants, he realizes the concecuenses .
"The old man was dead"
The protagonist madness affects negatively on the old man. The madness that he has makes him kill the old man only so he wouldn't see his eye ever again

“The old man gave a loud cry of fear as I fell upon him and held the bed covers tightly over his head….
The old man was dead.”
This quote reveals that, the protagonist is very crazy. The protagonist can’t bear seeing the eye of the old man
In my opinion this short story was very interesting. The theme in this story is very good and true. No one likes and can bear the burden or the weight of the guilt . Specially no one can resist the weight of guilt of murder. The guilt and all of your conscience will bother you.

The journey
After Jonas finished asking and inquiring about Rosemary The Giver insisted that he should watch the release of the twins. Jonas agreed and watched. At the end he realized that "release" was actually killing someone. Jonas was disgusted by everything. His mind had opened up and he saw things differently about how the community runs. He saw his father as a killer. The giver tried to calm down Jonas. He told him that it is not his father's fault and that his father doesn't understand or know what is death. Jonas was so overwhelmed about this that he decided he had to change how things work in the community. So Jonas stayed the night with the giver and they started planning a way that Jonas could leave the community and all of his memories will go to the people. They eventually plan it all. The day Jonas will leave was the night before the ceremony that way no one will know were Jonas is and no one can stop this ceremony. By that time, Jonas will be already on his way to elsewhere. The night that Jonas and the Giver planned for him to leave, Jonas's parents told him Gabriel was going to be released. Jonas didn't want Gabe dead so he took him. Jonas had to travel at night and sleep at day because the search planes looked for them at day. Days passed and the number of planes decreased until they were gone. When the planes disappeared Jonas and Gabe could travel safer. In the journey they saw woods and animals. Their food eventually was gone and both were very weak. They were trying to get to their destiny. Suddenly they found a sled and they used it. When the sled stopped they saw lights and windows and perhaps they heard music.
"And he had taken Gabriel, too." (166,Lowry)
I think that Jonas did the right thing by taking Gabe with him. If he hadn't taken Gabe with him he was going to leave him and someone was going to kill him. I also think that Jonas would have felt very guilty if he left Gabe behind.
"Behind him, across vast distances of space and time, from the place he had left, he thought he heard music too. But perhaps it was only an echo." (180, Lowry)
This last quote of the book haunts me with so many questions. I wonder of Jonas and Gabe accomplished their mission. I don't know if Jonas was hallucinating because of the lack of food and water. What I think the end was, is that Jonas an Gabe were traveling in circles and by the time they completed the circle they got to their community and that it had homes and music.
In conclusion, I think this was a very good book. Lois Lowry created a very good ending because she gave you the freedom to choose the ending you want. This book has a very good message and a very good theme.

Death and Rosemary
In chapters 15-18 Jonas has been learning colors and he has been experiencing real pain. One day the giver has been having lots of pain. So Jonas offered himself to take the memory that was disturbing the giver. The memory was very awful, there was war and Jonas witnessed death. The giver regretted giving that memory to jonas because it was a very horrible memory. After a painful memory the giver gave Jonas a soothing and beautiful memory sohe doesn't think of the painful one. The giver gave Jonas his favorite memory. This memory was warm and nice. There was a family reunited and Jonas learned what is love. He also learned that grand parents existed. After Jonas learned about love he went straight up to his parents and asked them if they loved him but because his parents dont know what is love, they chastised him and said that the word love is meaningless. After what Jonas´s parents said he was very sad and disappointed. Now Jonas has been stopped taking the pills for 4 weeks and he could now see all colors. One day there was a unexpected holiday. Jonas went to search for his friends Asher and Fionna and they were playing a game. The game they were playing was strangely familiar to Jonas. He realized that that game was a war game. He stopped playing and Asher was irritated because he ruined the game. Later that day everyone was telling about how was their holiday and Jonas learned what they did to twins in the nurturing center. The next day Jonas was curious about the failed Reciever. The giver told Jonas about her. She was called Rosemary. She failed because she couldn't stand all of that awful pain, so she applied for release. In Rosemary's time anyone could apply for release, when she asked this she decided she wanted to inject herself. Later the giver explained to Jonas how he loved her and how it broke his heart when she got released. The giver also said that when Rosemary got released all of the memories got back to the community and that it was a total caos.
" Jonas sighted. It was no use. Of course Asher couldn't understand." (135, Lowry)
I feel bad for Jonas. He and te giver have to bare all of the burden and all of the pain. They are so alone. No one actually understands them. And nobody has real emotions they are all shallow.
" 'There could be love.'Jonas whispered" (129,Lowry)
I feel like this community has no life in it. Every one in the community has no feelings. Everyone's life is very dull and no one has love. Without love everything is very lame and everything is very cold.
In conclusion, I think that Jonas and the giver have to do something about how things run in the community. Jonas an the giver are very alone and everyone's life is very dull. No one actually has really feelings. I predict that Jonas and the giver will plan something to change things.
